Enabling [ND FILTER] during shooting may cause distortion in the image or noise in the audio sound.

Adjusting the Exposure Manually

Applicable to: Full Auto shooting mode A, Manual shooting mode M

Generally, the brightness of the subject that is being shot is automatically adjusted according to the reference values of the camera. However, the brighter or darker areas of an image may appear unclear depending on the shooting conditions. To prevent this from occurring, you can correct the exposure manually.

1 Set to the Manual Exposure mode.

Press [AE±].

The AE value appears on the screen, and the adjustment mode is enabled.

2 Adjust the exposure.

Operate with the [ADJ./VOL.] knob.

Tilt upward to increase the value and make the image brighter.

Tilt downward to decrease the value and make the image darker.

3 Confirm the setting value.

Press the [ADJ./VOL.] knob.

The manual setting value is set.

(The setting value (-6 to +6) is displayed on the screen.)

4 After setting the value, press the [ADJ./VOL.] knob for 1 second or longer to switch to the AE Lock mode.

An L mark appears after the setting value on the screen.
