Turn on the TV and select the VCR channel (or AV mode).

Slide the TV/VCR/DVD switch to the right.

You can dub selected audio from the unit to a digital audio device.

However, it is not possible to dub copy-protected discs.

Example: Dubbing to an MD

A Make connections.

Connect the unit and a digital audio device using either an optional optical cable or an optional coaxial cable.

B Prepare the unit for dubbing.

ALoad a disc or a cassette.

BPress DVD or VCR and select the audio to be dubbed. C Search for the point where you want to start dubbing

by pressing PLAY (4), FF (5) or REW (3) then press STOP (8).

D Press REW (3) a little, then press PLAY (4) to start playback.

E Press PAUSE (9) to pause playback a little before the start point.

C Prepare the digital audio device for dubbing.

AInsert an MD.

BSelect the input mode.

D Start dubbing.

APress PLAY (4) to start playback on the unit. B Start recording on the audio device.

E End dubbing.

Stop recording on the audio device. Then press STOP (8) to stop playback on the unit.

NOTES:

There may be a discrepancy of several seconds between where you intend editing to start, and where it actually starts.

You can also dub a Video CD or SVCD. Set “DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT” to “PCM ONLY”. ( pg. 79)

Do not switch between the DVD deck and the VCR deck during dubbing.
