Operating other manufacturers’ equipment

By changing the transmittable signals, you can use the remote control supplied for this unit to operate other manufacturers’ equipment.

•Refer also to the manuals supplied with the other products.

•To operate those components with the remote control, first you need to set the manufacturers’ codes each for the STB, VCR, and TV.

•After replacing batteries of the remote control, set the manufacturers’ codes again.

•You cannot use the remote control to operate a VDR such as a DVD recorder. To operate the VDR, use the remote control supplied with your VDR.

Set the mode selector to AUDIO/TV/VCR/STB.

❏Changing the transmittable signals for operating an

STB

1Press and hold STB .

2Press STB.

3Enter the manufacturer’s code using buttons 1 – 9, and 0.

4Release STB .

Now, you can perform the following operations on the STB.

STB : Turn on or off the STB.

After pressing STB (source selecting button), you can perform the following operations on the STB.

CHANNEL +/–:Change the channel numbers on the STB.

1 – 9, 0: Select the channel numbers on the STB.

5Try to operate your STB by pressing STB .

When your STB turns on or off, you have entered the correct code.

If more than one codes are listed for your brand of STB, try

each one until the correct one is entered.
