From the remote control ONLY: Press the number buttons.

To select 3, press 3.

To select 14, press +10 then 4.

To select 24, press +10, +10, then 4.

To select 40, press +10, +10, +10 then 10.

The selected title, chapter, or track number starts playing.

NOTE:

The number buttons may be also used to select an item on the menus of DVD or of VCD/SVCD with PBC function.

About the indications on the display

While playing back a disc, the playback information appears on the display.

You can change the display pattern of time information. See page 34.

The current disc type information appears as follows:

“VCD”: shows a VCD or SVCD is loaded.

“CD”: shows an Audio CD is loaded.

*When a VCD or SVCD with PBC function is played, the time

information does not appear, but “PBC” appears. **See page 30 for details.

Resume playback function (see page 56):

If you turn off the power while playing back a disc, the position where the playback has been stopped is stored. The RESUME indicator lights up on the display when the resume function is activated.

To resume playback from that position, press DVD or PLAY on the remote control.

The resume playback function does not work for Audio CDs.

Preventing screen burn-out—screen saver function

A TV screen may be burned out if a static picture is displayed for a long time. To prevent this, the system automatically dims the screen if a static picture is displayed for over 5 minutes— the screen saver function.

Pressing any button will cancel the screen saver function.
