How to Adjust Buttonhole Stitch Balance

Use the stitch length control O to adjust stitch density.

Turn the dial in direction @ for a coarser density (_).

Turn the dial in direction (_ for a tighter density _).

If the sides of the buttonhole are not balanced, do the following;

--If the buttonhole looks like _), move the lever with the screw driver to the right ( + ) to make the right side of the buttonhole less dense

(see illustration).

--If the buttonhole looks like (_), move the lever with the screw driver to the left ( - ) to make the right side of the buttonhole denser.
