PROGRAMMED DEFROST BY TEMPERATURE

Power levels for defrosting are predetermined in this oven. Thus, the temperature probe can assist in proper defrosting of

large dense items, such as casseroles, poultry and roasts.

I. Cover the corners of food with small pieces of

aluminum foil.

Place the food to be defrosted on a rack in a baking dish. The baking dish will collect drippings from the food while

the rack will prevent the food from soaking in the drip- pings and will help it defrost evenly.

3. Plug temperature probe into socket on the side of the oven.

2.Adjust the slide grommet on the probe, so that the

temperature probe can be placed into the food about 2-

I/4" to 2-I/2" deep.

The probe should be placed horizontally about mid-

height of the food and from the right-hand side. If the

food is still hard and the temperature probe cannot be

placed, use the probe spacer to make a 2-I/4" deep hole

for the temperature probe. To avoid error, be sure the

temperature probe is pushed to the bottom of the hole

and do not place the temperature probe into fat, air pockets or areas near bones.
