Battery Level Indicator
When turned ON, the battery level indicator on the display lets you know approximately how much battery life is remaining. When turned OFF, the battery level indicator will appear and blink only when the battery voltage level is low.
When the battery voltage becomes too low while transmitting, the transceiver stops transmitting, a tone sounds, and the LED blinks red until you release the PTT switch. Recharge or replace the battery pack at this time.

Recharge the battery pack To turn this function on or off:
1With the transceiver power OFF, press and hold the MENU key while turning the transceiver power ON (for 1 second).
