Notes on Using the “Sort” and “Group” Functions

Conditions for sorting

GThe number of copies is set to 2 or more.

Conditions for crisscross sorting

GLetter or invoice paper is used.

GPaper of the same size and type is loaded horizontally in one paper drawer and

vertically in another drawer.

GThe Auto Paper function is selected.

GThe “Mixed Orig.” function must not be selected.

GThe “CRISSCROSS MODE” function in the Utility mode is set to “ON”. (p.7-53)

GThe optional Shift tray is not installed.

Shift Sorting

Each copy set is fed out shifted to

alternating side.
