3-14. Configuration
The switch supports three copies of configuration, including the d efault configuration,
working configuration and user configuration for your configuration managem ent.
All of them are listed and described below respectively.
Default Configuration:
This is factory setting and cannot be altered. In Web UI, two restore def ault
functions are offered for the user to restore to the default setting of the switch. One
is the function of “Restore Default Configuration included defau lt IP addr ess” , the IP
address will restore to default “192.168.1.1” as you use it. The other is the functi on
of “Restore Default Configuration without changing current IP address”; the IP
address will keep the same one that you had saved before by perform ing this
function.
Working Configuration:
It is the configuration you are using currently and can be change d any time. The
configurations you are using are saved into this configuration file. This is updated
each time as you press <Apply> button.
User Configuration:
It is the configuration file for the specified or backup pur poses and can be updated
while having confirmed the configuration. You can retrieve it by performing Restore
User Configuration.
