Using the zoom lens

[i.Zoom]

You can use the camera’s Intelligent Resolution technology to increase the zoom ratio up to 2x higher than the original zoom ratio with limited deterioration of the resolution.

Set the [i.Zoom] in the [Rec] menu to [ON]. (→141)

●●The camera’s Intelligent Resolution technology is applied to a picture in the zoom range of [i.Zoom].

●●[i.Zoom] does not function in the following cases. ••With [Snapshot Mode] (when [Motion Deblur] is [ON]) ••When the [Burst Shooting] setting is set to [  ], [  ] or [  ]

••When the [Sensitivity] setting is set to [H.8000], [H.10000] or [H.12800] ••With the Scene Modes ([Panorama Shot] [Handheld Night Shot] [HDR]

[3D Photo Mode])

••With [Creative Control] Mode ([Toy Effect] [Smooth Defocus] [Radial Defocus]) ••When [Multi Expo.] is set in the [Rec] menu

[Digital Zoom]

With this mode, a zoom ratio 4x higher than Optical/Extended optical zoom is possible. Note that, with Digital Zoom, enlarging will decrease the resolution. Set the [Digital Zoom] in the [Rec] menu to [ON]. (→141)

●●[Digital Zoom] cannot be used in the following cases: ••With [Snapshot Mode]
