Adjusting the brightness of a copy

1Load paper.

2Load an original document facedown on the scanner glass.

3From the control panel, press or repeatedly until Copy is highlighted.

4Press or to select the number of copies. The number of copies is automatically set to 1.

5Press .

6Press repeatedly until Lighter/Darker is highlighted.

7Press or to adjust the brightness of the copy.

8Press to preview the copy.

9Press to continue adjusting the settings.

10Repeat step 8 to step 9 as needed.

11Press to save your settings temporarily.

12Press .

Copying photos

1Load photo paper with the glossy or printable side facing you. (If you are not sure which side is the printable side, see the instructions that came with the paper.)

2Place a photo facedown on the scanner glass.

3From the control panel, press or repeatedly until Copy is highlighted.

4Press or to select the number of copies. The number of copies is automatically set to 1.

5Press .

6Adjust the copy settings as needed. To make a borderless copy, choose Borderless under Resize. For more information, see “Understanding the Copy Mode menu” on page 79.
