2.5 Wall Mounting The foot of IP8540 incorporates slotted wall mount holes. To wall mount IP8540 you will need to install
two mounting screws arranged to fit in the mounting slots. #6 pan head screws are recommended and
should be anchored firmly into a wall stud or wall anchor. Tighten the screw leaving about 1.5 mm (1/16th
inch) of exposed screw to allow for the plastic thickness. Slide the hole in the foot over the head of the
screws then slide the unit down the wall. If the unit does not slide down over the screws, loosen the
screws slightly. If the unit is loose on the wall, remove the unit and slightly tighten the screws. The
adjacent figure gives center-to-center mounting dimensions.

There also is a handset holder that clips onto the phone (as shown below) to secure the handset when
phone is mounted to a wall (refer to previous section for part number to order).
