You can lock the entire disc to prevent important recordings from being erased by accident. You can only lock the entire disc. It is not possible to lock individual recordings.

1Put the disc you want to lock into the recorder.

2While the Index Picture Screen is displayed, press STOP h on the remote control. The first title is selected.

3Press A . The disc information screen is displayed.

4Press the C button.

Select the 'Protection' line using B . Confirm with C .

5Select 'Protected' using B and confirm with OK .

The entire disc is now protected. If you attempt a recording, '￿￿￿￿ ￿￿￿￿' will appear on the display and 'Disc locked' will appear on the TV screen.

If you later decide to record on the disc, follow these steps but select
