Receiving a Text Message
Note: Your text message inbox must be set up before you can
receive text messages. See page 69.
When you receive a text message, your phone displays

and gives an alert.
If reminders are turned on, your phone sends a reminder at regular
intervals until you close the new message notification, read the
message, or turn off your phone. (See page 117.)
When your inbox is full, flashing envelope icon appears. New
messages do not appear until you delete some existing ones.
Reading, Locking, or Deleting a Text Message
Messages in the text message inbox are sorted from newest to
oldest. The oldest messages are deleted automatically as specified
by the inbox cleanup setting. If you want to save a message, you
should lock it to prevent it from being deleted during cleanup.
