Install the Software
Install the software from the CD-ROM that comes with your
Motorola Original data kit. See the data kit’s user guide for more
information.
Making a Data or Fax CallYouca n connect your phone to a computer or hand-held device to
send data or a fax from the connected device.
Attach the cable (seepage 102) and do the following:
Receiving a Data or Fax CallYouca n connect your phone to a computer or hand-held device to
receive data or a fax.
Use this feature to transfer data to your computer from another
device.
Transfer the Data or Fax
Connect your phone (see page 102).
Do This To
1Check the phone make sure that the phone is
connected and powered on
2Open the
application on
your computer
place the call throughthe
application (such as
dial-up-networking)
Note: You cannot dial data or
fax numbers through your
phone’s keypad. You must dial
them through your computer.
3End the transfer
on your computer close the call and connection
when the transfer is complete
