2 OVERVIEW

Invalid CableCARD Security Certificate

In the event that the CableCARD provides an invalid security certificate to the DCH receiver, all access to live, recorded, and on-demand television programming will be terminated. The DCH6416 receiver will be unable to provide access to television programming until a CableCARD that can provide a valid security certificate is inserted. When a CableCARD with an invalid security certificate is inserted into the DCH6416, the following on-screen alert banner will be shown:

CableCARD Certificate Invalid

Invalid CableCARD—DCH6416 Pairing

Your cable operator must validate all pairings between the CableCARD and the DCH receiver. This process is performed by the cable operator. However, if the pairing between the CableCARD and the DCH6416 receiver cannot be validated or has not yet been validated during a new installation, the following on-screen alert banner will be shown (actual values shown will differ):

CableCard™ Pairing
