21 Press SELECT or OK and the currently selected setting flashes. In this example, LARGE
flashes. The LARGE and SMALL settings determine which speakers receive low frequency
(bass) information. Use the LARGE setting for a speaker that is a traditional full-range
speaker capable of reproducing sounds below 100Hz. Use the SMALL setting for smaller,
frequency-limited satellite speakers that do not reproduce sounds below 100Hz. When the
SMALL setting is used, a subwoofer is required to reproduce low frequency sounds. Note
that LARGE and SMALL refer to the speakers ability to reproduce low frequency sounds
and not their physical size. Consult the manufacturers manual that accompanied your
speakers for more information.
