Changing to any non-DVD/CD source during DVD or CD playback has the same effect as
pressing STOP once, which enters Resume Play mode.

Fast Motion Playback (Picture Search)

To scan through the disc when youre playing it, use the Picture Scan feature.
1 Press the ( or ) buttons when youre playing a disc.
2 Press the ( or ) buttons again to increase or decrease speed.
3 Press PLAY
PAUSE on the front panel or the play button on the remote control any time to
resume normal playback.
You do not hear the sound on a disc when youre using the picture scan feature.
Playback features arent available during the opening credits of a movie.

Using the DVD Banner Display

The on-screen Banner Display contains many DVD playback features. Each feature is
represented with an icon. To view the DVD Banner Display, press INFO while a disc is playing.
Press (< >
) to move through the different features in the Banner Display. When an icon is
highlighted, press SELECT or OK to select it.
You can only access the Banner Display when you’re playing a disc. In addition, the Banner
Display features are only available if the disc was created with that particular feature. For
example, if you select the Subtitle icon, you cannot change the subtitle language unless the
disc was created with multiple subtitle languages.

Press CLEAR or INFO to remove the Banner Display from your TV screen.
To view the Banner Display, you must turn on your TV and tune it to its Video Input Channel.
Selecting a DVD Title
Some discs contain more than one title. For example, there might be four movies on one disc and
each movie could be considered a title. To select a DVD title:
1 While a disc is playing, press INFO to view the Banner Display on your TV.
2 Press CURSOR left/right (<

>) to highlight the Title icon.
3 Press SELECT or OK and - - is displayed under the Title icon.
4 Press the number buttons on your remote control or
CURSOR left/right and up/down (<
<<
< >
>>
>) (
) to enter the Title number.
