Password

The EDS-408A/405A switch provides two levels of access privileges: admin privilege gives read/write access to all EDS configuration parameters; user privilege provides read access only— you will be able to view the configuration, but will not be able to make modifications.

ATTENTION

The EDS’s default Password is not set (i.e., is blank). If a Password is already set, then you will be required to type the Password when logging into the RS-232 Console, Telnet Console, or Web Browser interface.

Account

Password

	Old Password (Max.	Type current password when changing	None
	16 Characters)	the password
	New Password (Max.	Type new password when changing the	None
	16 Characters)	password
	Retype Password	If you type a new password in the
	(Max. 16 Characters)	Password field, you will be required to	None
		retype the password in the Retype new
		password field before updating the new
		password.
