MANUFACTURER'S LiMiTED WARRANTY FOR
Thelimitedwarrantysetforth belowisgivenby MTDLLCwithrespect
tonewmerchandisepurchasedandusedin the UnitedStates,its
possessionsandterritories.
"MTD"warrantsthisproductagainstdefectsinmaterialandworkman-
shipfora periodof two (2) yearscommencingonthedate of original
purchaseandwill,at its option,repairor replace,freeof charge,any
partfoundto bedefectiveinmaterialsor workmanship.This limitedwar-
rantyshallonlyapply if this product hasbeen operatedandmaintained
inaccordancewiththeOperator'sManualfurnishedwiththe product,
andhas notbeensubjectto misuse,abuse,commercialuse,neglect,
accident,impropermaintenance,alteration,vandalism,theft,fire,water,
ordamagebecauseofother perilor naturaldisaster.Damageresulting
fromthe installationoruseof any part,accessoryorattachmentnot
approvedbyMTDforuse with the product(s)coveredbythis manual
willvoid yourwarrantyastoany resultingdamage.
Normalwearpartsare warrantedto befree fromdefectsin materialand
workmanshipfora periodofthirty (30) daysfromthe date of purchase.
Normalwearpartsinclude,butare not limitedto itemssuchas: batter-
ies,belts,blades,bladeadapters,grassbags,riderdeck wheels,seats,
snowthrowerskidshoes,shaveplates,augerspiral rubberandtires.

Thislimitedwarrantydoesnotprovide coverageinthe followingcases:
a. Theengineor componentpartsthereof.Theseitemsmaycarry a
separatemanufacturer'swarranty.Refertoapplicablemanufacturer's
warrantyfortermsandconditions.
b. Logsplitter pumps,valves,andcylindershavea separateoneyear
warranty.
c. Routinemaintenanceitemssuchas lubricants,filters, blade
sharpening,tune-ups,brakeadjustments,clutchadjustments,deck
adjustments,andnormaldeteriorationofthe exteriorfinish dueto
useor exposure.
d. Servicecompletedbysomeoneotherthananauthorizedservice
dealer.
e. MTDdoesnot extendany warrantyforproducts soldor exported
outsideofthe UnitedStates,its possessionsandterritories,except
thosesoldthroughMTD'sauthorizedchannelsofexportdistribution.
f. Replacementpartsthat arenotgenuineMTDparts.
g. Transportationchargesand servicecalls.
Noimpliedwarranty,includinganyimpliedwarrantyof mer-
chantabilityof fitness for a particular purpose,appliesafter the
applicable periodof expresswritten warranty above as to the
partsas identified.Nootherexpresswarranty,whetherwritten or
oral, except as mentioned above,given byany personor entity,
includingadealerorretailer, with respectto any product,shall
bindMTD.Duringthe periodof the warranty,theexclusiveremedy
isrepairor replacementofthe productas set forthabove.
Theprovisionsasset forth inthis warranty providethesoleand
exclusiveremedyarising from the sale.MTD shallnotbe liable
for incidentalorconsequentiallossor damageincluding,without
limitation, expensesincurredforsubstituteor replacementlawn
careservicesor for rentalexpensesto temporarily replacea
warrantedproduct.
Somestatesdo notallowthe exclusionorlimitationof incidentalor
consequentialdamages,or limitationson howlong an impliedwarranty
lasts,sotheaboveexclusionsorlimitationsmaynot applytoyou.
Innoevent shallrecoveryofany kindbegreaterthanthe amountofthe
purchasepriceofthe productsold.Alterationof safetyfeatures of
the product shallvoid this warranty. Youassumethe riskand liability
forloss,damage,or injurytoyouand yourpropertyand/ortoothers and
theirpropertyarisingout ofthe misuseor inabilityto usethe product.
Thislimitedwarrantyshallnot extendtoanyoneotherthanthe original
purchaserorto the personforwhomit waspurchasedasa gift.
HOWSTATELAWRELATESTOTHISWARRANTY: This limited
warrantygivesyouspecificlegalrights,and youmay alsohaveother
rightswhichvaryfrom statetostate.
