Throttle Control Lever
Thethrottlecontrolleverislocatedon theright sideof
thetractor'sdash panel.This levercontrolsthespeed
ofthe engineand,on somemodels,when pushedall
thewayforward,the chokecontrolalso.Whenset in a
givenposition,thethrottlewill maintaina uniformengine
speed.SeeFigure9.
IMPORTANT:When operatingthe tractorwiththecutting
deckengaged,becertainthat the throttleleveris always
inthe FAST(rabbit)position.
Choke Control
Onsomemodels,movingthe
throttleleverallthe wayforward
activatestheengine'schoke
control.Onall othermodels,the
chokecontrolcanbe foundon
theleft sideofthe dashpanel
andis activatedby pullingthe
knoboutward.Activatingthe
chokecontrolclosesthechoke
plateonthe carburetorandaidsinstarting theengine.

Brake Pedal r
Thebrakepedalis locatedon /
therightfront sideofthe tractor_
abovethedrive pedalalongthe
runningboard.Thebrakepedal
canbe usedfor suddenstops

NOTE:Thebrakepedal must
befullydepressedto activate
thesafetyinterlockswitch
whenstartingthetractor.

keyintothe NORMALMOWINGMODEpositiononce
theenginehasfired.
Tostopthe engine,turntheignitionkey counterclockwise

Drive Pedal

brakepedalonthe rightfront sideof
thetractoralongthe runningboard.
Depressthedrivepedalwith yourright
footwhenthe tractorshift leverisin
eitherFORWARDor REVERSEtocaus_
thetractorto move.Groundspeedis
alsocontrolledwiththe drivepedal.The
furtherdownthepedal is depressed,the
fasterthetractorwill travel.The pedal
willreturnto its original positionwhenit'._
