Introduction
The following table describes basic Operations commands. The following sections provide more detailed information and commands.

Operations-level port options

[no] rmon | Enables or disables Remote Monitoring for the port. RMON must be enabled |
| for any RMON configurations to function. |

no interface gigabitethernet <port number> shutdown
Temporarily enables the port. The port will be returned to its configured operation mode when the switch is reloaded.
Note: This command does not enable a port that has been disabled by an ekeying mismatch error.
