Using the Self-timer

The self-timer is suitable for taking group pictures and reducing the vibration when the shutter-release button is pressed.

When using the self-timer, use of a tripod is recommended. Set Vibration reduction in the setup menu (A94) to Off when using a tripod to stabilize the camera.

1Press J(nself-timer) on the multi selector.

2Press the multi selector Hor Ito select 10s

or 2s and press the kbutton.

• 10s (ten seconds): suitable for group pictures.

 

• 2s (two seconds): suitable for preventing camera

 

shake.

 

When the shooting mode is set to Pet portrait in

 

Self-timer

 

scene mode, Y(pet portrait auto release) is displayed

 

(A46). The self-timer 10s and 2s are not available.

 

The mode selected for the self-timer is displayed.

If the kbutton is not pressed within a few seconds, the selection will be canceled.

When the shutter is released, the self-timer turns OFF.

To stop the timer before a picture is taken, press the shutter-release button again.
