Brief voice memos can be added to still pictures displayed in full-screen playback. Voice memos can not be added to movies. Memos are stored on the memory card as WAV-format sound files. During playback, the presence of a memo is indi- cated by a icon.

Memo of up 20 s can be recorded while button is pressed. Recording ends after about 20 s or when button is released.

If icon appears in file information display during play-

back, memo can be played back by pressing button. Playback ends when entire recording has been played back or button is pressed a second time.
