3 Set up your phone

Before you use your phone, you need to:

•Charge the battery.

•Connect any accessories you want to use and set up for infrared transfer.

•Adjust a few phone settings to suit your needs.

•ATTACH THE BATTERY

This section tells you how to install a new battery. If you’re installing a replacement battery, make sure you use only a Nokia-approved part. See “Using batteries and chargers” on page <###>.

• CHARGE THE BATTERY

Follow these guidelines to charge the battery.

1With your phone on or off, connect the lead from the charger to the bottom of the phone.

2Connect the charger to an AC wall outlet.

The battery indicator bar starts to scroll up and down after a few seconds.

3Disconnect the charger from the phone and AC outlet when the battery is fully charged.
