Introduction The Norstar Fast Remote Access Device (FastRAD) allows a personal computer (PC) running Norstar ICS Remote Tools (ICSRT) to communicate with a Key Service Unit (KSU). FastRAD also runs with Companion Diagnostics System (CDS) and Companion Manager. The FastRAD:
•is located on site near either the KSU or the PC
•receives calls from a PC via modem or PC direct connec- tion
•authorizes a PC to access a KSU
•connects a PC with the KSU
