Choosing a Focus Mode

Choose a focus mode according to the subject and composition.

Mode

Description

Camera automatically adjusts focus according to distance to subject.

ZAutofocus Use when subject is 30cm/1ft. or more from lens (70cm/2ft. 4in. or more when camera is zoomed all the way out).

 

 

Use when shooting distant scenes through foreground objects such as

windows or when shooting landscapes at ranges of 5m/16ft. 5in. or
