Making/Answering Calls (Handset)
LkIf another phone is connected to the same line (page 19), you can also take the call by lifting its handset.
MUTE button N
While mute is turned on, you can hear the other party, but the other party cannot hear you.
To mute your voice, press {MUTE}. L To return to the conversation, press
{MUTE}.
Note:
L{MUTE} is a soft key visible on the handset display during a call.
L When this feature is turned on, {MUTE} flashes.
FLASH button N

Pressing {FLASH} allows you to use special features of your host PBX such as transferring an extension call, or accessing optional telephone services.

Pressing {FLASH} allows you to use optional services from A. Visit www.joip.com or contact the A service provider for details.
Making another call on the IP line: While you are talking with an outside caller, you can make a 2nd call on the same line by pressing {FLASH} then dialing.
L The 1st call is put on hold.
LTo hang up the 2nd call, press {OFF}. The alarm tone starts to sound. Press {IP} to talk with the 1st caller again. If you do not press {IP}, the alarm tone sounds for 1 minute and the 1st call is disconnected.
You can combine the calls to make a conference call by pressing {FLASH} again after the 2nd call is connected.
L To hang up the 2nd call and talk with the 1st caller, press {FLASH}.
LTo hang up both lines, press {OFF}.
For Call Waiting service users
N
Call Waiting service is provided by your landline service provider and A. This feature allows you to receive calls while you are already talking on the phone. If you receive a call while on the phone, you will hear a Call Waiting tone. Press {CALL WAIT} to answer the 2nd call.
LTo switch between calls, press {CALL WAIT}.

Temporary tone dialing (for rotary/pulse service users)

You can temporarily switch the dialing mode to tone when you need to access touch tone services (for example, answering services, telephone banking services, etc.).
Press {*} (TONE) before entering access numbers which require tone dialing.
Handset clarity booster N
This feature can improve sound clarity when the handset is used in an area where there may be interference. During an outside call, this feature is turned on
