AF FOCUS 1Press the [MENU] button.

There are 2 ways to set the auto focus; pressing the shutter button halfway or pressing the [FOCUS] button.

Using the [FOCUS] button is effective to prefocus the camera.

[Preparation]

4Press the [MENU] button.

The menu will disappear.

Only when [ Manual background ] is selected, the

[ AF FOCUS ] indication 1 is displayed on the LCD monitor/Viewfinder.

ªUsing the [FOCUS] button to prefocus the camera

The prefocus technique is effective when you want to take a picture of a fast-moving subject; a situation where it may be difficult for the auto focus to function properly. (For example, taking pictures with panning mode) (P50)

2Center the subject in the AF area (P29), and press the [FOCUS] button.

AF trigger will not operate until you press the [FOCUS] button again, even if you press the shutter button halfway.

When setting [CONT.AF] to [ON], [AF TRIGGER] is fixed to [ Manual backgroundManual backgroundSHUTTER ].

In simple mode [Manual background ], [AF TRIGGER] is fixed to [ Manual backgroundManual backgroundSHUTTER ].
