Preparation

Do not remove the card or the batteries while the camera accesses the built-in memory or a card. The data may be damaged. (P16)

Remove the batteries after the LCD monitor and the status indicator (green) turn off. Otherwise, the settings on the camera may not be stored properly.

Inserting/Removing the Card (Optional)

Check that the camera is turned off and that the lens is retracted.

You can record or play back pictures on the built-in memory when you are not using a card. (P16)

1 Slide the card door to open it.

2Insert:

Insert the card fully until it clicks and it is locked.

Remove:

Push the card until it clicks, then pull the card out upright.

Check the direction of the card.

Do not touch the connection terminals on the back side of the card.

The card may be damaged if it is not fully inserted.

3 1 Close the card door.

2Slide the card door to the end and then close it firmly.

If the card door cannot be completely closed, remove the card and insert it again.

The card and the data may be damaged if it is inserted or removed while the camera is on.

We recommend using Panasonic’s SD Memory Card.

About the Built-in Memory/the Card

Built-in Memory []

You can record or play back pictures on the built-in memory when you are not using a card.

The built-in memory capacity is about 14 MB.

You can record or play back pictures on a card.

(The built-in memory cannot be used when a card is inserted.)

Access to the built-in memory or the card

The access indication lights red when pictures are being recorded on the built-in memory (or the card).
