About the white balance
You can adjust the hue to your preferred setting using [WBAdjust.] (P101).
To beautifully record the underwater red tinge (Underwater color reproduction)
Subjects appear blue in pictures taken underwater. Using [ColorReproduction] in the [Rec]

2Press 3/4 to select the effect, and then press [MENU/SET].
You can select the effect of [HIGH], [MEDIUM], [LOW] , or [OFF].
Ichikawa Soft Laboratory has studied color loss in water based on the results of measurements of a
large number of color samples actually conducted in the ocean, and has developed “Natural Light
Technology” to reproduce vivid, accurate colors based on ongoing research into color reproduction
of pictures taken underwater.¢
[Color Reproduction] in the [Rec] menu and [ColorReproduction] under [Retouch] in the [Playback]
menu make use of this technology.
¢“Natural Light Technology” is the t echnology behind “SILKYPIX Marine Photography”, Ichikawa
Soft Laboratory’s digital reproduction software designed for underwater pictures.

Measured depth may not be accurate when pressure is applied to front or rear of this unit by
pressing with your hands, etc. In such a case, it is recommended to perform [Depthindicator] again
when you get back to the surface.
The display may differ significantly depending on the weather conditions (atmospheric pressure, air
temperature), or seawater temperature.
For more accurate depth measurements, we recommend that you perform [Depthindicator] before
you dive underwater.
When the unit is wet immediately after coming out of the water, etc., it may not be able to measure
atmospheric pressure accurately. For details, read About the measured altitude and atmospheric
pressure (P143).
To prevent water leakage, make sure th at there are no forei gn o bjec t s, such as s and, ha ir, dust, etc.,
clamped and close the side door all the way until it clicks. Also, read (Important) About the
Waterproof/Dustproof and Anti-shock Performance of the Camera (P10) before using the camera.
Dip the camera in fresh water in a shallow container for 10 minutes or less after using it, then wipe
the water off with a soft, dry cloth. (P13)
[Color Reproduction] is initially set to [LOW] on the camera.
Depending on the recording conditions or environment, th e way the effect of [ColorReproduction] is
applied may vary.
