Operations during play

	Press [g].
	The stopped position is memorized.
	Resume play function
Stop	Press [q] (PLAY) to restart from this position.
	•			Depending on the disc, resume play function may not be effective.
		VCD
	• The stopped position is cleared when:
	– You press [g] several times.
	– You open the tray.
	–					and MP3/DivX: You turn the unit off.
			DVD-A		VCD

Pause	Press [h].
	Press again or press [q] (PLAY) to restart play.
	Press [t] or [y].
	• The speed increases up to 5 steps (						up to 3 steps).

Search	• Press [q] (PLAY) to restart play.
	• Audio is heard during first level search forward.
			(excluding motion picture parts)		and MP3: Audio is heard during all levels of search.
		DVD-A
	DivX: Audio is not heard during all levels of search.
	• Depending on the disc, searching may not be possible.

	During play or while paused, press [u] or [i].
Skip	Skip to the title, chapter or track you want to play.
	• Each press increases the number of skips.
	• DivX: Backward direction [u] only
	Press the numbered buttons.

Playing discs

Starting from a selected item

Play starts from the selected title, chapter or track.
e.g., 5:	[0] Ô [5]		MP3, JPEG/TIFF and DIvX 5:	[0] Ô [0] Ô [5]

Selecting groups

While stopped (screen saver is displayed on the television Ô right)

•VCD (with playback control)

If you press the numbered buttons while stopped (the above screen saver is displayed on the television) you can cancel PBC. (Elapsed play time appears on the unit’s display.)

Quick View RAM

Press and hold [q] (PLAY/x1.3).

Play speed is quicker than normal.

• Press again to return to normal speed.

Slow-motion

While paused, press [t] or [y].
