Answering System
Listening to messages using the handset
When new messages have been recorded:
–“New message” is displayed.
–The message indicator on the handset flashes slowly if the message alert feature is turned on (page 36).
1{MENU} i{PLAY}
L If new messages have been recorded, the handset plays back new messages.
L If there are no new messages, the handset plays back all messages.
2When finished, press {OFF}.
Note:
L In step 1, you can also perform each specific operation.
■To listen to new messages:
{MENU} i{#}{3}{2}{3}
■To listen to all messages:
{MENU} i{#}{3}{2}{4}
L To switch to the receiver, press {C}.
Operating the answering system
You can also operate the answering system by pressing dial keys or soft keys on the handset. To use the following commands:

*1 If pressed within the first 5 seconds of a message, the previous message is played.

Calling back (Caller ID subscribers only)
If caller information is received for the call, you can call the caller back while listening to a message.
1Press {MENU} during playback.
2{V}/{^}: “Edit & Call” i{SELECT} L To edit the number before calling back, press {EDIT} repeatedly until the phone
number is shown in the desired format (page 29).
