Error messages

If the unit detects a problem, one of the following messages will be displayed on the handset.

Display message	Cause & solution

Busy	LThe called handset is in use.*1
	LThe handset you tried to copy phonebook items to is in
	use.*1
	LThe handset you are calling is too far from the base unit.*1
Error!!	LWhen you tried to register the handset, the handset and
	the base unit could not link for some reason, such as
	interference from electrical appliances. Move the handset
	and the base unit away from the electrical appliances and
	try again.
	LThe other handset tried to send phonebook items to you
	but there was an error. Have the other handset user re-
	send the items to you (page 26).*1
	LThe entered password was wrong in programming dial
	lock. Enter the correct password.

---Incomplete---	LWhen the phonebook item(s) was(were) sent to another
Phonebook full	handset, the handset’s phonebook memory was full and
	copying stopped. Press {OFF} to exit. Erase items from
	the other handset’s phonebook (page 25). When
	phonebook memory is available, you can copy all
	phonebook items (page 26) or individual items one by one
	(page 26).*1
No link to base.	LThe handset has lost communication with the base unit.
Move closer to	Move closer to the base unit, and try again.
base, try again.	LConfirm that the base unit’s AC adaptor is plugged in.
	LRaise the base unit antenna.
	LThe handset’s registration may have been cancelled. Re-
	register the handset (page 38).

Phonebook full	LThere is no space to store new items in the phonebook.
	Erase unnecessary items (page 25).

No items stored	LYour phonebook or redial list is empty.

Please lift up	LA handset button was pressed while the handset was on
and try again.	the base unit or charger. Lift the handset and press the
	button again.

System is busy.	LThe handset has lost communication with the base unit.
Please try again	Move closer to the base unit and try again.
later.	LMore than one unit is in use. Try again later.*1
	LAnother user is listening to messages. Try again later.

Dial locked	LDial lock is turned on. To turn it off, see page 38.
