Answering system for landline
The answering system can answer and record calls for you when you are unavailable to answer the phone.
You can also set the unit to play a greeting message but not to record caller messages by selecting “Greeting only” as the recording time setting (page 57).
Important:
RMake sure the unit’s date and time setting is correct (page 14).
Memory capacity (including your greeting message)
The total recording capacity is about 18 minutes. A maximum of 64 messages can be recorded.
Note:
RWhen message memory becomes full:
–“Messages full” is shown on the handset display.
–The ANSWER ON/OFF indicator (
) on the base unit flashes rapidly if the answering system is turned on.

Turning the answering system on/off

Press MANSWER ON/OFFN to turn on/off the answering system.
Handset

Greeting message
When the unit answers a call, a greeting message is played to callers.
You can use either:
