Erasure Prevention

Video cassette tapes have tabs to make sure recordings are not erased accidentally. The tab is in the bottom left corner on the front of the tape.

1

To keep from erasing a tape, break off the tab with a screwdriver.

2

To allow new recording on the tape, cover the hole with clear tape.

VCR maintenance

In this VCR, use only tapes with the mark.

Remove any stickers or labels from the video cassette tape before putting the tape in the VCR. Labels can jam the VCR.

Video heads are an important part of your VCR. You can’t see them, but the VCR automatically cleans its video heads. The video heads will require replacement eventually. Only an authorized ser- vice center should replace the heads.
