Using the AV Source (Pioneer AV Equipment)

When Pioneer audio equipment is connected to the Navigation System using IP-BUS or AV-BUS, such equipment can be operated from the navi- gation unit. This chapter describes the operation of the audio source that can be used when the Pioneer audio equipment is connected.

When reading this chapter, please also refer to the operation manual of the AV equipment con- nected to the Navigation System.

AVIC-D1 does not support 50-disc multi-CD players.

You can use navigation unit to control a multi-CD player, which is sold separately.

These are the basic steps necessary to play a CD with your multi-CD player.

(1) Source icon

Shows which source has been selected.

(2)Disc number indicator Shows the disc currently playing.

(3)Track number indicator Shows the track currently playing.

(4)Play time indicator

Shows the elapsed playing time of the current track.

(5)Disc title, Disc artist, Track title and Track artist indicator

When playing CD TEXT disc, each Disc title, Disc artist, Track title or Track artist is displayed.

Touch repeatedly to switch these items.

(6) Disc list display

Shows the disc list in multi-CD player.

1 Touch the source icon and then touch “M- CD” to select the multi-CD player.

2 Touch any of 01 — 12 to select a disc you want to listen to.

If you want to select a disc located at 7 to 12, touch or to display 07 12.

When 01 06 and 07 12 are not displayed, you can display them by touching the screen. You can also sequentially select a disc by moving the joystick up or down.

3 To skip back or forward to another track,

the current track. Touching again will skip to

You can also skip back or forward to another

track by moving the joystick left or right.

4 To perform fast backward or forward,

You can also perform fast backward/fast for- ward by holding the joystick left or right.

When the multi-CD player has performed the preparatory operations, READY is dis- played.

If the multi-CD player does not operate properly, an error message such as ERROR-11may be displayed. Refer to the multi-CD player owner’s manual.

For a normal CD, the disc list shows “–”. For a CD TEXT disc, a disc title appears.

If there are no discs in the multi-CD player magazine, NO DISC is displayed.
