Sound muting
Soundfrom this unit is muted automatically in
thefollowing cases:
!Whena call is made or received using a
cellulartelephone connected to this unit.
!Whenthe voice guidance is output from a
Pioneernavigation unit connected to this
unit.
Thesound is turned off, MUTE is displayed
andno audio adjustments, except volume con-
trol,are possible. Operation returns to normal
whenthe phone connection or the voice gui-
danceis ended.
CD player and care
!Useonly CDs that have either of the two
CompactDisc Digital Audio marks as
shownbelow.
!Useonly normal, round CDs. If you insert ir-
regular,non-round, shaped CDs they may
jamin the CD player or not play properly.
!Checkall CDs for cracks, scratches or
warpingbefore playing. CDs that have
cracks,scratches or are warped may not
playproperly. Do not use such discs.
!Avoidtouching the recorded (non-printed)
surfacewhen handling thedisc.
!Storediscs in their cases when not in use.
!Keepdiscs out of direct sunlight and do
notexpose the discs to high temperatures.
!Donot attach labels, write on or apply che-
micalsto the surface of the discs.
!Toclean a CD, wipe the disc with a soft
clothoutward from the center.
!Ifthe heater is used in cold weather,moist-
uremay form on components inside the
CDplayer. Condensation may cause the CD
playerto malfunction. If you think that con-
densationis a problem turn off the CD
playerfor an hour or so to allow it to dr y
outand wipe any damp discs with a sof t
clothto remove the moisture.
!Roadshocks may interrupt CD playback.
