Setting up for hands-free phoning

Beforeyou can use the hands-free phoning

functionyou must set up the unit for use with

yourcellular phone. This entails establishing a

Bluetoothwireless connection between this

unitand your phone, registering your phone

withthis unit, and adjusting the volume level.

!Tomake best use of the technology, we re-
commendyou register the phone to this unit.
2Registration
Toregister your temporarily connected phone,
referto Set phone (registereing a connected cellu-
larphone) on page 23.
3Volumeadjustment
Adjustthe earpiece volume on your cellular
phonefor comfort. When adjusted, the volume
levelis recorded in this unit as the default setting.
!Callersvoice volume and ring volume may
varydepending on the type of cellular phone.
!Ifthe difference between the ring volume and
callersvoice volume is big, overall volume
levelmay become unstable.
!Beforedisconnecting the cellular phone from
thisunit, make sure to adjust the volume to a
properlevel. If the volume is muted (zero
level)on your cellular phone, the volume level
ofyour cellular phone remains muted even
afterthe cellular phone is disconnected.
Making a phone call
Voicerecognition
1PressBAND/ESC and hold until Voice dial ap-
pearsin the display.
Voicedial appears in the display. When Voice
dialON is displayed, voice recognition function is
nowready.
!Ifyour cellular phone does not feature voice
recognitionfunction, No voice dial appears
inthe display and operation is not possible.
2Pronouncethe name of your contact.
