Settings

Active settings: Select and set the profile. You can also clear the profile in the Options page by selecting Clear profile.

5.3.1 Configuring a new E-mail account

Through this menu you can set a new service account based on the parameters provided by your service provider:

Mailbox name: can be set as desired

E-mail address: input here the e-mail address (e.g. Mark@yahoo.com)

My name: Input the name before @, e.g. Mark

Out SMTP server: the SMTP server address for outgoing mail; (e.g. smtp.yahoo.com)

In POP3 serve: the POP3 server address for incoming mail; (e.g.

POP3.yahoo.com)

POP3 user name: typically coincides with the e-mail address or with the user part of the address

POP3 password: input the password for mail access (appears as ‘******’)

Leave copy: <on> leaves a copy of the downloaded mails on the server for successive access (e.g. from a PC); <off> disables this option. Warning: all mails downloaded to the phone will only be readable via the phone menu.

Polling interval: manual’ enables the manual retrieve of mails

‘5 minutes’ (automatic retrieve every 5 min) ‘30 minutes’ (automatic retrieve every 30 min) ‘60 minutes’ (automatic retrieve every 60 min) ‘2 hours’ (automatic retrieve every 2 hours) ‘3 hours’ (automatic retrieve every 3 hours) ‘4 hours’ (automatic retrieve every 4 hours) ‘12 hours’ (automatic retrieve every 12 hours)

Use SMTP auth: (<yes> enables authentication on the SMTP server)

SMTP user name: (to be input if <yes> was selected in the previous menu)

SMTP password: (to be input if <yes> was selected in the previous menu)
