8.WLAN

The Dual mode phone has been pre-configured to work with any open wireless network. The phone will obtain an IP address automatically once it recognizes and connects to the WLAN network.

Any modifications made to the internal configuration of this device, not expressly approved by your service provider will void the warranty of this device.

The WLAN settings interface allows you to check WLAN network status, and set profiles. It includes five functions, WLAN status, WLAN settings, SIP status, SIP settings, and NAT settings.

8.1WLAN status

You can fast set up when it is ready in idle mode, see which network displayed when select the corresponding wireless network (GSM and WLAN).

Telephone MAC: MAC address of Dual Mode telephone

SSID: connected WLAN names (WLAN Modem, Access-Point)

Auth. type: protection used (WEP, WPA, WPA2 or none)

BSSID: MAC Address ofconnected WLAN Modem (Access-points)

Channel: channel used. Available values 1-13; it depends on the WLAN Modem.

Subnet mask

Gateway

DHCP Server

Main DNS Server

Sec. DNS Server

WMMstatus

Example 1: the bar that above the G-symbol (1) left displays the GSM network’s strength. To make the network usable, there should be at least three bars displayed on the screen.
