These are the basic steps necessary to play an
MP3/WMA/WAVwith your built-in CD player.
More advanced MP3/WMA/WAVoperation is
explained starting on page 22.
1MP3 indicator
Shows when the MP3 file is playing.
2Folder number indicator
Shows the folder number currently playing.
3Play time indicator
Shows the elapsed playing time of the cur-
rent track (file).
4WMA indicator
Shows when the WMA file is playing.
5Tracknumber indicator
Shows the track (file) currently playing.
!If a track number 100 to 199 is selected,
dwill light up above the last two digits
of the track number.
!If a track number 200 or more is selected,
dwill blink above the last two digits of
the track number.
1 PressOPEN to open the front panel.
CD loading slot appears.
#After a CD-ROM has been inserted, press
SOURCEto select the built-inCD player.
2 Inserta CD-ROM into the CD loading
slot.
Playback will automatically start.

#Youcan eject a CD-ROM by pressing EJECT.
#Toavoid a malfunction, make sure that no
metalobject comes into contact withthe term-
inalswhen the front panel is open.
3 Closethe front panel.
4 UseVOLUME to adjust the sound level.
Rotate to increase or decrease the volume.
5 Pressaor bto select a folder.
#Youcannot select a folder that does not have
anMP3/WMA/WAV file recorded in it.
#Toreturn to folder 01 (ROOT), press and hold
BAND.However, if folder 01 (ROOT) contains no
files,playback commences with folder 02.
6 Toperform fast forward or reverse,
press and hold cor d.
#Thisis fast forward and reverse operation only
forthe file being played. This operation is can-
celedwhen the previous ornext file is reached.
#If you select the search method to ROUGH,
pressingand holding cor denables youto
searchever y ten track in the current folder.(Refer
toSelecting the search method on page 24.)
7 Toskip back or forward to another
track, press cor d.
Pressingdskips to the start of the next track.
Pressingconce skips to the start of the cur-
rent track. Pressing again will skip to the pre-
vious track.
