1 PressFUNCTION to select AUX.
PressFUNCTION repeatedly until AUX ap-
pears in the display.
2 Pressaor bto turn AUX on or off.
Pressingaor bwill turn AUX on or off and
that status will be displayed (e.g.,
AUX:ON).
Switching the dimmer setting
Toprevent the display from being too bright at
night, the display is automatically dimmed
when the cars headlights are turned on. You
can turn dimmer on or off.
1 PressFUNCTION to select DIMMR.
PressFUNCTION repeatedly until DIMMR ap-
pears in the display.
2 Pressaor bto turn DIMMR on or off.
Pressingaor bwill turn DIMMR on or off
and that status will be displayed (e.g.,
DIMMR:ON).
Setting the rear output and
subwoofer controller
This units rear output (rear speaker leads out-
put and RCA rear output) can be used for full-
range speaker (R-SP:FUL) or subwoofer
(R-SP:S/W) connection. If you switch the rear
output setting to the R-SP:S/W, you can con-
nect a rear speaker lead directly to a subwoo-
fer without using an auxiliary amp.
Initially,the unit is set for rear full-range speak-
er connection (R-SP:FUL). When rear output
are connected to full range speakers (when
R-SP:FUL isselected), you can connect the
RCA subwoofer output to a subwoofer.In this
case, you can select whether to use the sub-
woofer controllers (low pass filter,phase)
built-in P/O:S/W orthe auxiliar y P/O:FUL.

PressFUNCTION repeatedly until R-SP ap-
pears in the display.
2 Pressaor bto switch the rear output
setting.
Pressingaor bwill switch between
R-SP:FUL (full-rangespeaker) and R-SP :S/W
(subwoofer) and that status will be displayed.
#Whenno subwooferis connectedto the rear
output,select R-SP :FUL.
#Whena subwooferis connected tothe rear
output,set forsubwoofer R-SP :S/W.
#Whenthe rear outputsetting isR-SP :S/W,
youcannot change the subwoofercontroller.
3 Presscor dto switch the subwoofer
output or non fading output.
Pressingcor dwill switch between P/O :S/W
and P/O:FUL andthat status will be displayed.
Notes
!Evenif you change this setting, there is no
outputunless youturn thenon fadingoutput
(referto Using non fadingoutput on page 38)
orsubwoofer output (refer to Using subwoofer
outputon page37) in the audio menu on.
!If you change the subwoofer controller,sub-
wooferoutput and nonfading output in the
audiomenu return tothe factory settings.
!Bothrear speaker leads output and RCA rear
outputare switchedsimultaneously in this
setting.
