!Whenplaying discs with MP3/WMA/WAVfiles
andaudio data (CD-DA) such as CD-EXTRA
andMIXED-MODE CDs, both types can be
playedonly byswitching mode betweenMP3/
WMA/WAVand CD-DA withBAND.
!If you have switched between playback of
MP3/WMA/WAVfiles and audio data (CD-DA),
playbackstarts at thefirst trackon thedisc.
!Thebuilt-in CD player can play back an MP3/
WMA/WAVfile recorded on CD-ROM. (Refer
topage 46 for files that can be played back.)
!Donot insert anything other than a CD into
theCD loadingslot.
!Thereis sometimesa delaybetween starting
upplayback and the sound being issued. This
isparticularly the casewhen playingback
multi-sessionand many folders. Whenbeing
readin, FRMTREAD is displayed.
!If you cannot insert a disc completely or if
after you insert a disc the disc does not play,
checkthat the label side of the disc is up.
PressEJECT to eject the disc, and check the
discfor damagebefore inserting thedisc
again.
!Playbackis carried out in order of file number.
Foldersare skipped if they contain no files. (If
folder01 (ROOT)contains no files,playback
commenceswith folder 02.)
!Whenplaying backfiles recordedas VBR
(variablebit rate) files,the playtime will notbe
correctlydisplayed if fast for ward or reverse
operationsare used.
!If the inserted disc contains no files that can
beplayed back, NO AUDIOis displayed.
!If the inserted disc contains WMA files that
areprotected by digitalrights management
(DRM), SKIPPEDis displayed while thepro -
tectedfile is skipped.
!If all the files on the inserted disc are secured
byDRM, PROTECT is displayed.
!Thereis no sound on fast for ward or reverse.
!If the built-in CD player does not operate prop-
erly,an error message such as ERROR-11
maybe displayed.Refer to Understanding
built-inCD player error messages on page 45.
!Whenan MP3/WMAdisc is inserted,folder
nameand file name begin to scroll to the left
automatically.
