User’s Guide for Polycom HDX Systems and the Polycom Touch Control

For more information on how to set up a room to maximize the People on Content feature, see the Administrator’s Guide for Polycom HDX Systems. You can also contact your administrator for information about enabling or configuring People on Content.

Follow these guidelines when you are presenting content with People on Content:

Wear solid neutral-colored clothes.

Avoid wearing black, white, or the color of your background.

Make sure that the room is well lit.

Stand about 3 feet in front of the background to avoid casting shadows on it.

To show content with People on Content:

1Make sure that the content you want to show is ready.

2From the Home screen or call screen, touch Show Content.

3 Touch PeopleOnContent.

The icons for the foreground and background video sources move up slightly on the screen. The camera moves to the preset location. Content is displayed in place of the background.

The foreground and background video sources are configured by the administrator. You can adjust the camera or choose a different foreground video source after you start showing content with People on Content.

To stop showing content with People on Content:

>>From the Content screen, touch PeopleOnContent to stop the content.

Using the Polycom UC Board™

By using the Polycom UC Board stylus and receiver with a USB hub and either a standard whiteboard and projector or dual-monitor setup, you can show and annotate content in real time from selected Polycom HDX systems. Integration with HDX system software means that you do not need to start an external application to use the UC Board.

For information about setting up and getting started with the UC Board, refer to the Quick Start Guide for the Polycom® UC Boardand the Administrator’s Guide for Polycom HDX Systems at support.polycom.com.

To use the UC Board with your Polycom HDX system:

1Ensure that the monitors or projector is powered on.

2Tap the stylus on the content monitor (second monitor) or whiteboard, or begin drawing with the stylus.
