When finished setting up the PT2000 or TopGun (refer to the previous section), the PALPRO Options menu appears on the display screen. Use the menu to choose a PALPRO application or use the portable as a keyboard wedge.

With the PT2000 or TopGun attached to the PC or IBM 3151 terminal as a keyboard wedge, use a bar code label or magnetic stripe to enter data directly into the application. Data can also be entered by using the keypad on the portable.

Two PSC cables1 are required to install the portable as a keyboard wedge.

To connect the PT2000 or TopGun as a keyboard wedge, complete the following steps:

1.Plug the 15-pin connector into the cable connector on the bottom of the portable.
