NiCd Battery Pack

Caution: Switch 2 must be in the ALK position to prevent the unit from attempting to charge the alkaline batteries. This could cause them to leak, damage the unit, and void the product warranty.

Switch 1 may be in either position.

5.Lay the plastic ribbon along the bottom of the battery compartment with the end sticking out of the compartment.

6.Insert the batteries in the positions indicated by the diagram inside the compartment.

7.Replace the battery-compartment cover by sliding it into place. Make sure the plastic ribbon is tucked underneath the cover.

8.Replace the hand-strap hook into its holder.

NiCd Battery Pack

The battery pack for the PT2000 and TopGun (PSC part #00-862-00) contains three rechargeable AA NiCd batteries. To install the NiCd battery pack, complete the following steps:

1.Detach the elastic hand strap on the back of the portable by pulling its hook out of its holder near the base (refer to Figure C-1 on page 100).

2.Press on the arrow symbol on the battery-compartment cover and push the cover in the direction indicated by the arrow.
