Connect a DCE device to the DB9 connector with a ￿null modem￿ cable wired as shown in Figure 6.

4.4.Antenna Connection

You must connect a suitable antenna to the RF antenna connection. This antenna is used for both transmitting and receiving over-the-air messages.

Caution: Do not operate the radio modem without an antenna.
