Printing with the Finisher

❒Staple printing will be canceled under the following conditions:

•If the number of staple jobs exceeds maximum. For information about the maximum number, see “Specifications”, General Settings Guide.

•If a paper size that cannot be stapled is selected. For information about pa- per sizes that can be stapled, see “Specifications”, General Settings Guide.

•If positions other than those fixed for stapling are specified.

•If there are inconsistencies between the orientation in duplex mode and the staple position.

•If paper sizes are mixed when a different paper size is specified during a print job.

•When staples have run out.

•When feeding paper from the bypass tray.

• When staples have run out and Auto Continue is set, printing will continue

without stapling after the message has been displayed.

 

❒When using the optional 2 tray finisher or optional booklet finisher to select other than [2 at Center], the following paper sizes can be stapled using Mixed Size mode:

•A3 L and A4 K

•B4 L and B5 K

•11 ⋅ 17 L and 8 1 /2 ⋅ 11K
