Shooting with the Zoom

If you use the (Telephoto):T/ (Wide-angle):W buttons, you can alter the size of the subject in your photo without having to change distance from the subject. (Equivalent to a 35mm camera's 35 to 105mm zoom.)

By pressing the (Telephoto) button, the subject you see in the LCD Monitor and the Viewfinder becomes larger.

By pressing the (Wide-Angle) button, the field in the LCD Monitor and the Viewfinder becomes wider.

To shoot with the zoom, follow the steps below.

Buttons used here

Turn the Mode Dial to (Shooting Mode).

Compose your picture while viewing either the LCD Monitor or the Viewfinder and zoom

by pressing either the button, or the button.

A bar is displayed in the LCD Monitor indicating Zoom status.

Press the shutter button.
